Wherever you are, be there totally.
~ Eckhart TolleCris was raised in a salon environment starting at the early age of 5, where she was exposed to the power of the beauty industry by observing her mother's work. In her early 20’s, she traveled the world and truly discovered who she was and wanted to become. She discovered that her creativity, knowledge and education are qualities that she wanted to share with others. She observed how the essence of beauty can greatly impact a woman’s confidence, self esteem and overall quality of life.
The virtues, talents of Audrey Hepburn, Princess Diana and Coco Chanel have all impacted her curiosity of what beauty really means.
Before moving back to Austin, Cris spent several years in the Midwest working in the telecommunications industry to then deciding to go to beauty school and become a manicurist. Her career took off as soon as she graduated and became an independent contractor and became a specialist for sculptured nails. After many years of deliberating, it was time to move back to Texas and go to school for cosmetology. Cris spent several years in some of Austin’s top salons, such as Saks Fifth Avenue where she worked behind the scenes of Austin’s most prestigious fashion shows sponsored by charity organizations i.e. (March of Dimes, Susan G. Komen, Austin’s Dancing with the Stars, and Austin Children’s Shelter ). She worked numerous photo shoots for magazines most of which were local such as Tribeza, Austin Monthly, Brilliant, and many more. In addition to her hairstyling experience at Sak’s, she also worked in aesthetics, makeup and nails, all of which helped her facilitate what she wanted to offer in her dream salon.
After leaving Sak’s Fifth Avenue she switched to a new path as an independent hair stylist at Salon Si Beau of Westlake. It was there that Cris not only continued to compliment her hairstyling with nail art, but ventured out to master the wedding industry. Starting with just a few friends, Cris now has over a hundred weddings under her belt. Her determination, ambition and motivation are what kept her on the right path to the future opening of Dolce Salon. In 2007 she took a leap of faith and started Dolce in a small vintage house off of Lake Austin Blvd turning her dream into reality. During this time she took numerous courses enrolling in multiple certification programs for cut and color. She attended an intensive cut and color training course at Vivianne Mckinder Hair Academy in New York City where she mastered alternative complex colors and artistic precision razor cutting styles for modern trends and techniques. She has perfected the art of extensions and is a top specialist in several hair extension types such as Hot Heads and is certified in Great Lengths Extensions.
With Cris it all comes down to making the world a better place and making each and every one of her clients experience the best it can be. Not only will you receive professional, top of the line styling, coloring and consulting, but you will get the chance to experience her inner beauty, fountain of wisdom, and a chance to spend time with a genuinely kind and warm soul.

Inspired by color! I started my love with color when I was in grade school quiet and shy and found I could shine my personality through by dressing in full spectrum bold color outfits without the need for me to express myself through words. For the past eight years as a stylist and colorist, I have been creating blends of art that fit the client’s personalities and entice new freshness to their lives. I am also inspired by rich tones, especially in the fall. If I could do rainbow hair all day I would, but I also enjoy painting on highlights and working with many of my clients who have gray coverage and lift them up on an energetic level regularly maintaining the color they love.
I encourage and work to create healthy hair above all else and believe that healthy hair is happy hair. I love to educate my clients on how best to style their hair in the easiest and quickest way. I love working with natural waves and curls and providing the tools and techniques for clients to manage and embrace their waves and curls.
I am passionate about natural health and wellness and using animal friendly and conscious product lines. I am excited about our flagship product line, Oribe, since it is compostable, animal friendly and vegan. And at Dolce we are free to explore the product lines that work best for each client’s hair.
My life and world is bright, colorful, airy, natural and lively. I love to bring that energy to everyone around me and everywhere I go.

In 2016 Kali attended the local Aveda Institute of New Orleans where her passion to create beauty and happiness through hair blossomed. After graduation she moved back to the Mississippi coast and found a home at a well-known salon just over the state line in Slidell, Louisiana. Hello I’m Chris, originally born and raised in Sanford NC and have always had a love for hair! I graduated from Paul Mitchell in 2021 and since then I have been behind the chair doing what I love best and getting the chance to get to know some amazing people.
Without a doubt color is my specialty, from basic all over colors, beautiful blondes and even fun fashion colors. Aside from coloring and cutting hair I am also certified in Hair Extensions and I’m familiar with all hair textures. I believe that my work speaks for itself, so rather than telling someone how good my work is I would rather sit them in my chair and let them be amazed!!
Austin is a big city with a lot of salons, but from the moment I walked in the door I knew Dolce Salon was the salon for me. The atmosphere is welcoming and I am excited to further my career with a wonderful team and amazing clients. Be sure to book your luxurious salon experience with me before my books fill up 🙂

When I was about 8 years old and school wasn’t too demanding, I’d sometimes spend my weekends helping out at a family friend’s Aveda salon in Dallas. I cleaned shelves, ripped foil, and admired the environment that the brother-sister duo created for their clients. It was my second grade dream to run the salon with my best friend, her daughter.
After graduating from Townview TAG in 2019 and a stint at UT Austin as a Radio-Television-Film major, the Corona virus debuted. During that introspective time at home, I chatted with many career advisors, coming to the conclusion that maybe my younger self had the right idea. I graduated with my cosmetology license from the Austin Aveda Institute in March 2022.
I was a dry cut apprentice at Spruce Salon for over a year. The educator moved to San Antonio, and they let me go. I’ve since landed at Dolce, and I couldn’t be happier to be learning from Cris!
When I’m not at the salon, I like to roller skate and play with my two kitties, Mama and Maybe. I dabble with beading and crochet too. I also love to sing and play guitar and piano. Music (and conspiracy) talk is welcome in my chair.
I believe stress kills, so let us kill stress! Leave your worries at the door, and let’s bring your hair goals to life!

Hello, I’m Ashley Amalia! I am a mama to my beautiful daughter, Amalia. She is my biggest supporter and fun fact, she is named after me! Amalia is actually one of my middle names. I am originally from the suburbs of Chicago. I decided to venture out of the freezing cold to Nashville in 2018 where I was waitressing in the heart of downtown Nashville. I got to meet people from all over the world and loved every minute of it. I decided I wanted more adventure, so I ventured off to Austin in 2019. I have always had a huge passion for fashion, makeup, and nails, but nails were my calling. I was here in Austin for about 8 months before the pandemic hit and the world shut down, and that’s when I made my passion into my career! I taught myself how to do nails by watching a lot of YouTube videos and joining Facebook nail groups. I decided to take my passion for nails one step further and find an all nail school. I attended BGM Science of Beauty and Business in Dallas, TX. During my time in nail school I discovered that not everyone could get their nails done due to their work or medical conditions. I didn’t think it was fair those individuals had to shy away from being pampered - we all deserve to be pampered! That’s when I spent countless hours coming up with my custom, reusable press on nails. They are fully customizable, reusable, salon quality that you can apply and remove within 20 minutes in the comfort of your own home. I hand-craft each and every set! I also discovered many individuals had damaged nails from nail salons, which is sad to hear, but happens more often than you think. That’s when I decided I wanted to specialize in natural nails. I work with regular polish and gel polish aside from creating press on nails. I take pride in caring for and bringing back to life nails that are damaged, all while providing high quality work/service each time! I love to get to know each of my client’s one on one and care for their nails how they need, not how everyone needs. Everyone’s nails are different and each client needs their own nail care plan. I use and suggest specific products and treatments based off of your individual nail needs and I love being able to educate my clients on basic natural nail care. Cause who doesn’t love healthy natural nails?! I can’t wait to meet each and every one of you and care for your beautiful, healthy natural nails!!
